Nudist Colonies news story on the web

Nudist colonies are in the news again. This story has hit the wire services worldwide. The lastest nudist story is about Cap d'Agde in the south of France. We were there for a week about 10 years ago. You can tell the person who wrote the story knows nothing about nudism as they would know nudist resorts are never called nudist colonies.

We have heard from guests that swingers and sex swappers have really invaded Cap d'Agde in the last few years. During the day there is still the family nude beach where you feel somewhat comfortable, but it is basically anything goes at the swinger beach.

The problem we have always found with swingers and nudist resorts that bring in swingers, is swingers never keep to themselves. They are always pushing the envelope with their behavior and are always very annoyingly hitting on nudists.

The Terra Cotta Inn is not and never will cater to swingers.

In my opinion, Cap d'Agde should have enfoced their policies against public sex. Now they have a mess on their hands.

Here is the story:

Report: French Nightclubs Burned Down in War Between Nudists, Swingers
Monday, November 24, 2008

One of Europe’s most famous nudist colonies has become the subject of an unusual investigation by French detectives after the destruction of three nightclubs in fires blamed on naturist "hardliners."

The normally peaceful Cap d’Agde, a magnet for nudists in the south of France, has been plunged into anxiety as investigators suspect "fundamentalist" nudists of harboring a grudge against the échangistes, or swingers, who are drawn to the town by the promise of sex.

A so-called boîte échangiste — or wife-swapping club — called Glamour, where couples engage in group sex, was the first to be destroyed in April. The next day, the Palme Ré, another orgy venue, also went up in flames. In September, the Tantra club and Zen, its neighboring bar, were leveled in blazes...

Tensions have risen between the naturists, who believe that nudity is a healthy choice of lifestyle and nothing to do with sex, and the échangistes, who are attracted to nudist camps by the prospect of multiple partners."

Naked right to work initiative

The right to work initiative story is a pretty funny satire.

However, the joke really is on the writer. In the south of France, there is a city called Cap D'Agde where in the summer there will be 50,000 nude people there. You can go grocery shopping, to the bank, to the post office, even to the police station nude.

Most male workers work nude and the female workers are also mainly nude. Although in restaurants due to health codes, cooks are dressed and the wait staff is topless (both male and female).

We have been to Cap D'Agde and it all seems so normal everyone going about life in the nude.

Here is the satire:

"Initiative to let people to work naked on ballot

While ballot measures concerning assisted suicide and toll roads have garnered the most headlines, a lesser known initiative has ignited a controversy between business and economic interests. The Double Cup Economic Stimulus Bill, or I-5309, relaxes the clothing requirements for several categories of service businesses. That is to say, it will allow all kinds of people to work practically naked.

The initiative sprang from the mind of Bremerton businessmen Warren Morrells, after three of his local "Baristas Behaving Badly" coffee stands were shut down because the scant work uniforms violated local decency laws. Rather than just paying the fine and moving to Sea-Tac Morrells coaxed enough signatures to get onto the ballot.

As written, the new law would expand the pasties-on-Tuesday concept to bankers, beauticians and bounty hunters, to name a few. Supporters acknowledge the template won't work for every business. For instance, naked teachers would be inappropriate below the junior college level and nurses will have germ issues...

Naked man in Canada denied a slice of pizza

What do you say to a naked man wanting to buy a slice of pizza in a Canadian city?

Answer - Thanks, but no thanks.

You always ready stories about what crazy people do when naked. Who knows, maybe this guy had the munchies? At least the police didn't taser and kill him like they did to a New York naked man last week who happened to be naked.

This makes the news because our society is so hung up on clothes. However, what if we were like Cap D'Agde, a nudist city in the South of France where 50,000 nudists vacation in the city every summer.

There you can go to the grocery sore, restaurants, buy Baskin Robbins ice cream naked and no one tries to arrest you.

Here's the story:

"COBOURG - A man wearing only black Adidas running shoes was denied service at a downtown pizza shop, on Friday, Sept. 26, at 9:50 p.m.

The naked man asked staff for a slice of pizza, but he was told to leave the store. Police were called, but were unable to locate the man.

He is described as early-30s, heavy set, between 5’10” and six feet, with short-dark-brown hair and scruffy-facial hair.

The investigation is continuing as he may have been captured by a surveillance camera."
