Khloe Kardashian has a nipple slip on Fox TV

As reported by US magazine.

"Khloe Kardashian had a prolonged wardrobe malfunction on live TV Tuesday morning -- unwittingly exposing her breast through a completely sheer black top...

Fox has since yanked the video of the R-rated interview from its site. But Khloe has no regrets!

"My mom just called me saying my nip slip is 'all over the internet!'" she tweeted Tuesday afternoon. "Ha! Is it weird that I love it?! Who knew nipples were so special?"

In an earlier Tweet (some fans wondered whether her account was hacked), the reality star supposedly wrote: "Thank God! I f***ing love nipples!"

For the full story click here

First, I bet Khloe knew something might happen by wearing that top. And I find it hard to believe that it was not noticed by the studio editors. this is FOX TV after all.

But, it does show as Khloe said, "who knew nipples were so special." Everyone has nipples. The only difference is the size, shape and color. What's the big deal? So ankles were considered sexy in the 1890's, calves in the roaring '20's, midriffs in the 1930's, nipples in the 2000's. Back in the 1700's women used to go to society dances wearing dresses that exposed their bare breasts.

Isn't it about time we realized bare breasts and nipples are no big deal?

PS, Mary Clare and I've appeared nude on TV many times. It's no big deal.

Hotel sites being sued - Accused of spreading false information

The internet has been fantastic for the travel industry, and especially for finding nudist resorts. It is our biggest source for new guests.

There is lots of information on the net about where to go for vacations, things to do, etc.

One of the negatives about the internet though is there is lots of misleading information. Many travel sites quote low rates and then you find out there are hidden resort fees or membership fees.

Or worse some places have phony "rack rates" so they can have even phonier sales and discounts.

Even in the nude recreation field, some nudist resorts quote lower rates and once you get there, you learn you have to pay daily membership fees, or ground fees, or whatever other creative name they have for charging guests extra money.

Here at Terra Cotta Inn we have NO hidden resort, grounds, parking or membership fees. You pay what you are quoted.

Now I know the hotel industry pretty well here in Palm Springs. There are some hotels that advertise with Expedia, Hotels.com etc that they are having 50% off "sales" from their phony "rack rates."

The funny thing is they ALWAYS have these 50% off sales. And the sad thing is some people fall for the phony sales thinking they are getting a bargain or good value. Which they're not.

We've had people come here for day use at our resort. They're from out of state, have been to nudist resorts before, (not ours), but booked at a non nude hotel here in town thinking they they were getting a deal from one of these hotel room "sales."

It gets pretty frustrating when a nudist books a textile hotel that has a 50% off sale because they think it's cheaper than staying at our resort. As an example one place in town offers 50% off sales at $119 midweek. However once you factor in parking fees, resort fees, buying breakfast and having to pay us $25 for a day fee to use our nudist resort. That bargain $119 becomes about $205. And midweek our rates are only $149. Plus you'll get free afternoon snacks here too.

MSNBC in the fall said many nudist resorts are a great value and mentioned The Terra Cotta Inn as one of the best values in the nudist industry.

Well a hotel group in France got tired of other hotel sites misleading information and is suing Experida, Hotels.com and tripadvisor.

Here's the story:

"Expedia, Hotels.com and TripAdvisor accused of spreading false information

Synhorcat, a union of French hoteliers is taking legal action against Expedia and two of its subsidiaries, TripAdvisor and Hotels.com, accusing them of unfair trade practices.

The lawsuit filed by Synhorcat at the Commercial Court in Paris last week claims that the close relationship between TripAdvisor and Expedia/Hotels.com leads to situations, where hotels that are not working with Expedia are listed on TripAdvisor with no rooms available, although they have availability.

The union calls this a “discriminatory practice”, that not only leads to false information for the consumer, but is also potentially deterring consumers from contacting the hotel directly to book a room.

In addition, the lawsuit criticizes Expedia’s promotional claim of “up to 75% discounts on hotel rates” as misleading for consumers...

According to Synhorcat, Expedia’s promotional claim also has the potential to deter consumers from booking the hotel directly, as they are made believe that the deepest discounts are available on Expedia.

“We have nothing against the Internet, in contrary,” says Didier Chenet, President of Synhorcat, “but we cannot let these practices penalize hoteliers.”

Be careful of what you post on the internet, especially on Facebook

First police were arresting teenagers for sexting, now police in Wisconsin did a Facebook sting to find underage drinking.

Here's the story:

"Police conducting Facebook drinking stings

We know Facebook has helped police solve all sorts of crimes, from burglary to vandalism.

But did you know it’s also being used to fight a far more pernicious crime? No, not child sex abuse.

Underage drinking.

Apparently, a college student in Wisconsin accepted a Facebook friend request from a cute girl he didn’t know. Shortly thereafter, he got ticketed for underage drinking on the basis of a picture he’d posted of himself holding a beer–in his own home, no less...

But for Pete’s sake–there has got to be something else these cops could be doing with their time."

For the full story: Click here

This was published in the Maryland Daily record which is a legal oriented paper in Maryland. So I will have to assume the story was checked out instead of this being an urban myth.

I agree with the story, It sure seems like there could be some real crimes police could be investigating.

Now I do not condone underage drinking or drinking and driving. Years ago we were hit head on by a drunk driver who suddenly drifted into oncoming traffic, meaning us. That changed our lives forever by giving us some permanent medical problems.

However, I have to agree with the article, sure seems that there should be more important crimes for the police to be fighting.

Sadly, America is not quite the free society that everyone thinks it is and has its priorities wrong.

One out of every four pageviews on the internet are on Facebook

Wow, Facebook is becoming a thousand pound gorilla of web traffic. One out of every 4 pageviews is a facebook pageview. That's BIG!!! More and more businesses are marketing through Facebook. Nudists need to get a better presence there too.

Nudiarist, who writes the best nudism blog showed the amount of traffic that nudists sites get in his blog post here: click here

He rightly commented:

"It's interesting to see how the national organizations fare so poorly when compared to commercial sites like Clothes Free International, blogs like mine, and the social networking sites. It's clear that AANR and TNS have let the Internet get away from them. AANR is trying with their blog and forum, but they are still woefully behind sites that do a much better job."

Here's the article about facebook's popularity:

"I was reading an article the other day that revealed Facebook in the UK accounts for 1 in every 7 pages viewed on the Internet. I thought wow, I knew Facebook was big but did not realize it was that big. Then I wondered what this statistic is in the US..."

In the UK, Facebook accounts for 15% of the total pageviews (or 1 in 7). In the US Facebook accounts for, now get this, 1 in every 4 or 25% of our total pageviews. Unbelievable!

Google on the other hand accounts for only 8% of the total pageviews (or 1 in 12)..."

For the full article click here

Now the article says facebook is more engaging, people play games there like farmville, mafia wars, etc. that use up pageviews. But still facebook is a major heavy weight on the internet.

So how has nudism done on facebook? AANR's site has 820 fans. TNS has 683 fans. Myself, I have 815 friends and The Terra Cotta Inn resort page has 514 fans. Skinbook has 1912 fans, Angye Fox the marketing person at Caliente has 1634 friends, and Cypress Cove has 142 fans.

Those are pretty pathetic numbers for nudism, even for me. My twitter account is almost 2500 followers.

Now maybe it is hard to get fans and friends on facebook and that is why the National nudist organizations have so little. Are people afraid to join as facebook is public and others will see that they are fans of nudism? That could be.

But then twitter is public too where everyone can see who you follow. And I have almost 2500 followers there. And on facebook there is a fan page called Sleeping Naked. It has 147,757 fans. That's right almost 150,000 fans and it is a persons page, not an organization. So obviously not everyone is afraid to say they enjoy doing something naked.

As I said, nudism is pathetic on facebook.

Oh well now that we know, time to do better.

England may finally recognize that nudists are discriminated against

PR is fantastic in the marketing of nudist resorts, as is the internet like this blog. However, one of the worst ways for nudist resort marketing is word of mouth. Yes, when you vacation at a nudist resort all people talk about is what nudist resorts they have vacationed at however, outside the nudist resorts, no word of mouth.

So many of our guests tell us their best vacations ever are at our resort. And then when we ask "how many non nudists have you told about our place," 95% of our guests say none. They are too afraid to admit they are nudists.

I have always said being a nudist today is like being gay back in the 1960's. You have to be in the closet for your own safety. Now some places like Palm Springs, it is very accepted. I was even the campaign treasurer for one of our city council members and was elect the president of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Yet, if I was to try to teach school, I wonder would I have a hard time getting a job admitting I was a nudist?

In England they are starting to realize the discrimination against nudists.

Here is the story:

"The Government Equalities Office, overseen by Labour’s deputy leader, ranks the prejudice faced by those who wish to go naked wherever possible as equivalent to that experienced by homosexuals, ethnic minorities and the elderly.

A recent review into discrimination includes a submission written by British Naturism, which was selected for display on the website of the equalities office alongside work by Stonewall, the gay rights group, Age Concern and the Runnymede Trust, which campaigns for racial equality.

“Naturists encounter prejudice in employment,” it reads.

“This is a particular problem for people in the caring professions and education...

There is a thriving industry devoted to naturism in Britain, including more than 100 naturist-friendly campsites and a selection of luxury cruises where clothing is optional...

British Naturism has 16,000 members but claims there could be 1.2m naturists in the country, with many choosing to cover up their hobby.

Now it is urging the Government and other authorities to make “affirmative statements” in favour of naturism.

Andrew Welch, commercial manager of British Naturism, said the type of discrimination suffered by naturists today was similar to that endured by gay people before the decriminalisation of homosexuality in 1967...

“The presumption of many in society that a person without clothes is always up to no good is archaic and discriminatory.”

For the full story click here

It would really be cool if England was the first major government to speak up positively about nudism. Here in Palm Springs, we are highly thought of by our local government because we have such a high occupancy rate, but that is just small town politics, not national politics.

I wish British Naturism good luck with their cause.

Vanessa Hudgens topless photos are on the web again

I don't know anyone who knows Vanessa Hudgens. This week new topless photos of her "leaked" onto the internet.

My personal gut feel says she and her pr agent probably released these photos to increase her movies marketability since she has a new movie about to come out in a few weeks. In America bare breasts sell.

Now don't get me wrong. I think the nude human body is a beautiful thing. Ever since cavemen, artists have been painting nude humans. I would encourage Vanessa to enjoy her life in the nude. Many movie stars admit to enjoying being nude at hope. And lots go topless and nude sunbathing in Europe and the Caribbean.

However, American men seem to go crazy when they see bare breasts. Either they think the sight of bare breasts is a since worse than murder, or they go crazy and can't get enough of seeing breasts.

Now if Vanessa Hudgens had a movie role where being topless was an important part of the plot line like in Monsters Ball where Halle Berry received a best actress Academy Award, people would be complimenting her. Or if Vanessa Hudgens was "caught" innocently topless sunbathing like Hayden Panettiere people would think more highly of her.

Instead most people think of this being just a classless pr stunt. But, it is working. Last I looked, on google news, this story has been picked up 231 times, or once I post here, make it 232 times.

Funny how Vanessa really expects people to believe she had nothing to do with this, ha, ha, ha.

I wish Vanessa good luck and I hope someday she can enjoy life in the nude just like nudists do.

Freedom of the internet under attack in Australia

What is the biggest threat to western democracies? IMO, it is not terrorists, it is our own incompetent and corrupt politicians.

Sadly, in the US we have lots of bad politicians, but we are not alone. Australia has a board that now officially blocks internet sites. And worse, they do not even list the sites that are blocked and the board has no over site. Now I can see blocking child porn sites, and sites that tell people how to do criminal activities, etc., but not disclosing sites they block is scary for civil rights..

Who knows when these people will decide nudist sites are bad. If our FCC wanted to fine CBS TV millions for Janet Jackson's famous nipple slip, who knows what governments will try to "protect" us from.

Here's the story:

"SECRECY, said British judge Sir John Chadwick, is the badge of fraud. He was speaking in the context of financial fraud but it seems equally to apply in Australia where governments wear the badge while robbing us of our freedoms, all the while pretending to do precisely the opposite.

We have over the past decade descended down a path of official deceit where governments erode our freedoms of association and expression while making it an offence to speak of their fraudulence.

It began in the hysteria of a post-9/11 world when the Government stole our presumption of innocence and the protections of habeas corpus under the pretext of protecting us, and then made it a crime to speak about its trespasses....

Secrecy became an end to itself, behind which the Government and its minions were able to hide their worst excesses and intimidate their victims.

Now, under the pretext of protecting us from corruption on the internet, a government of a different colour hides its abuses of power behind another veil...

More specifically, they should have been outraged over the Government's blacklist of 10,000 sites which were to be added to another 1300 identified by the unelected and faceless Australian Communications and Media Authority to be filtered out of our consciousness.

Just what might we be protected against? We may never know.

The ACMA list was said to be mainly of child pornography sites, but last year Broadband and Communications Minister Stephen Conroy could not even define the grounds for restricting the 10,000, although they were supposed to contain "illegal and unwanted content".

Now we learn the ACMA list of banned sites has mysteriously grown to more than 2300, with no public inquiry and no rights of appeal. Worse, we are not allowed to know what is on the proscribed list and anyone who wants to rescue us from our ignorance is threatened with up to 10 years in jail.

An outfit called Wikileaks put online a leaked list of what purports to be the banned list, including entirely innocent sites and blameless individuals. For its trouble, it was threatened with huge fines and placed on the blacklist.

Conroy denies the veracity of the list but we may never know because it is a dark secret shared by the Government, the ACMA and a favoured few who stand to get fat by perfecting the internet filter...

What next? Who next?...

It is a Kafkaesque exercise in mindless tyranny that is unworthy of one of the world's oldest, proudest and previously durable democracies.

Secrecy may be a badge of fraud. It is also the flag of frightened men."

For the full story CLICK HERE

How does this effect nudists? We may be next with our sites censored. If the state of New Jersey serious thought about banning Brazilian bikini waxing, governments can easily decide that nudist resorts are illegal. They do that to nude beaches in the US all the time.

Here in the US, ex-President Bush in his famous speech explaining why he thought terrorists hated Americans. He said "They hate our freedoms." So of course what did he do. Instead of reasserting his belief in the Bill of Rights, he decided to take away our freedoms too. One of the biggest ones was the governments wiretapping every single phone call and collecting every single e-mail in the US. I guess Bush and Cheney felt if you take away Americans freedoms, terrorists won't hate us as much.

Censoring the net is no different that what China, North Vietnam, middle eastern countries and other totalitarian regimes do. It is sad that people are letting our governments get away with this.

But, sadly because of the conservative press who doesn't want to rock the boat, we don't have true investigative reporting like we used to during Watergate.

Citizens need to wake up. Remember what Benjamin Franklin said:
"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security."

Too bad politicians never seem to learn from history.

Naked pictures and how to protect them

Here's an article on 5 tips to protect your naked pics from ending up on the internet.

I would like to add a 6th tip. If you are in a position that may be compromised if a naked picture of you appears on the net, don't take one! DUH!!!

The other thing is it is no big deal if a naked picture of you does appear on teh net. Mary Clare and I have many nude pictures on the net. I was still elected the president of the Palm Springs chamber of commerce. And I am a Democrat in a Republican business community.

My advice to EVERY underage child in America is DO not take nude pictures of yourself with cell phones.

Here's the story:

"Five Tips For Protecting Naked Pics

Naked pictures are a privilege….and a responsibility. Sure, to your credit, you haven’t dated Adnan Ghalib, signed a contract with Disney, or starred on a reality show with the rest of your insane family, so you’re probs not going to wind up naked on TMZ. But there’s always the rest of the Internet!...

1)Keep It Cropped: Especially if you want to get down and dirty, you may want to avoid including your face in the photo....

2)The Name Game: Make sure all your photos are in one folder with some nondescript name like “Used To Do.” Also, when titling the photos, use generic words or inside jokes.

3)Don’t Pass Out: Forwarding along the sexy pic to a friend may be fun, but trust no one! Secrets are sexier when they’re kept.

4)Flash: It’s best to save the files on a flash drive or CD. You don’t want someone stumbling upon them on your hard drive and portability is always a plus!

5)No Paper Trail: Do not print out the photos. Unless you have explicit permission to hang them up on your wall, keep ‘em as tiff files in order to avoid a real tiff!"

Now if you want to have the best vacation ever where you can go topless or nude sunbathing, give us a call at 800-786-6938. Visit our site at http://sunnyfun.com

Hope to see you in sunny Palm Springs!

A nice nudist resort story in a local newspaper in Pennsylvania

I have never been to the Penn Sylvan nudist resort. Their local newspaper did a nice story about them. Here it is

"Camp near Reading barely a refuge for 'naturists'

Hidden in woods among the hilly, green farmland of southern Berks County is a place that hundreds of people think of as a sanctuary.

It's a place where they rid themselves of everyday pressures, a place where clothes are shed as easily as stress and anxiety.

PSHS Inc., formerly known as the Penn Sylvan Health Society, is one of the nation's oldest nudist camps...

The camp is at once a microcosm of the outside world and a way to escape it.

Tom, 56, who lives near Pottstown, put it this way: "We have ministers. We have priests. We have moms. We have kids."

While they speak openly about their lifestyle, most members are cautious about giving a reporter their full names or going into detail about their jobs. They don't want co-workers or customers to know about their clothes-free ways.

"They can't fire me over it, but they can ridicule me," said Joe, who lives outside Philadelphia. "They can maybe not promote me."

...She says organizers realize the outside community is conservative, and they are careful about how and where they advertise.

There aren't many neighbors, but those willing to discuss the camp said they don't mind it at all...

"They're regular people," he said. "They just don't wear clothes."

...Regular visitors become friends but often don't know one another's last names.

Nudists, who sometimes call themselves naturists, say they are usually introduced to nudism by someone they know, and that they seek out places where it's OK to be naked.

They stress that nudism is not about sex.

"If you're completely naked, you're not provocative," Tom said. "You're just naked."

Being nude is a way to eliminate social barriers between people.

"There's no Bill Blass swimsuits or cutoff jeans," Rick said. "We're all the same."

People hear about the nudist camp in Berks mostly through word of mouth.

Now they are among about 25 people who live permanently in houses on the grounds.

...Nudists say it's easier for people to be comfortable with their bodies when they see that a lot of other people don't have a perfect body.

There are plenty of sagging breasts and bulging bellies at the camp. Nancy has had a double mastectomy, and another member is an amputee.

"It's a matter of accepting who you are," Robin said.

The camp prides itself on being G-rated, and many members credit Robin for keeping it that way...

For the full story click here

Now the one thing I have learned in being interviewed many times is more often then not, reporters get facts wrong.

The one "fact" I question in this story is where it is written new guests hear of the nudist camp mostly through word of mouth. I have found the internet is the best way to get new guests, and next being PR. Word of mouth in the nudist community is excellent for our resort, but outside of the nudist community, guest rarely tell their friends that they like to go nude sunbathing. Just like this story mentions, they are afraid of ridicule. So word of mouth is terrible outside of nudist resorts.
At least the reporter didn't call it a nudist colony.

If this nudist club does not actively promote itself on the internet and they are representative of many other small nudist campgrounds, it then would be no wonder why so many old fashioned nudist campgrounds are not getting many new members.
