Edun Airways to offer FIRST No Clothing Section on Flights

This story is hitting all the newswires today:
Dekan Archipelago, South Pacific 4/1/11- Edun Airways to offer the First No Clothing Section on their Flights
With the cost of fuel skyrocketing, budget airline, Edun Airways located in the exotic South Pacific archipelago in the Dekan Island chain is always looking for innovative ways to save money and pass those savings on to their passengers. Edun was the first airline to install coin operated washrooms, 50 cents for one flush, $1.00 for three. Airline President Ima Tsidun explained at the time, 'Why should the guy with a big bladder have to pay the same amount as a person with a tiny one. Do you know how much it costs to carry water on jets?"
However, it's their latest cost savings program that the whole airline industry is really talking about. It's the introduction of the very first No Clothing Section. President Ima Tsidun explained. "It costs a lot of money to fly luggage. Some women were traveling with 10 dresses and 20 pairs of shoes which is kind of silly since the Dekan Islands are famous for their nude beaches. So we imposed luggage fees and everyone switched to heavy carry ons. Next, we imposed carry on fees, then some passengers started wearing 5-6 layers of clothing to get around that rule. The only fair way to properly charge passengers is to create a No Clothing Section on each flight. The more you wear, the more you pay."
The program is very simple. The first flip flops, sunglasses, and towel go free, after that, you pay as you wear. A 3 piece suit costs an extra $5.00, going topless only $2.50, and wearing just your birthday suit of course is free.
Plus, there are a couple of extra unexpected benefits. The air conditioning at the terminal and on the flights can be turned up a few degrees and security check ins are now a breeze for those opting for the No Clothing Section.
All the other major air carriers in the world are anxiously waiting to see how much money this latest move saves Dekan Airways. Confidentially, many CEO's have stated off the record that this sounds like the latest trend in the airlines ever vigilant fight to keep ticket prices low for tourists.

British Retailer criticized for selling padded bikinis to 7 year olds
Talk about needing to protect kids. A British retailer was selling 2 piece padded bikini style bathing suits to 7 year old kids. Looks like the fashion industry wants to really destroy the self image of little girls at a young age.
Luckily some members of the British government and others spoke out against this type of child abuse so they were forced to pull the product.
Here's the story:
"U.K. retailer withdraws padded bikini bras for kids
LONDON — A major British clothing retailer withdrew a children's bathing suit from sale Wednesday after a front-page tabloid story criticized the store for selling padded bras on bikinis aimed at 7-year-olds.
The bikinis also angered children's advocates and top candidates in Britain's upcoming national election, who say it was yet another product that sexualizes children and encourages them to grow up too fast...
Primark, a popular discount chain, is not the first retailer to draw criticism for offering padded bras for kids younger than 10. But the outcry of protest is prompting a growing number of companies to pledge support for Mumsnet's "Let Girls Be Girls" campaign.
The popular online forum said such clothing indoctrinates the idea that sexiness is the most important quality for girls and "encourages a culture in which children are viewed as sexually available."...
The retailer acted within hours of a front-page article in The Sun denouncing the product as a "paedo (pedophile) bikini." Politicians swiftly joined the clamor...
There has long been a global concern that products and images may encourage the sexualization of children or direct sexual abuse at them. Barbie dolls have often been criticized for being unrealistically curvaceous. Teenage Disney star Miley Cyrus' bareback picture for Vanity Fair magazine was slammed for being too sexualized, as was 15-year-old Brooke Shields' ad for Calvin Klein jeans in which she said: "You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing."
The American Psychological Association, in a 2007 report on the sexualization of girls, raised concerns about other ad campaigns, such as Skechers' "naughty and nice" ad in 2004 featuring Christina Aguilera dressed as a pigtailed, lollipop-licking schoolgirl. The association also fretted about thongs for 7- to 10-year-olds with slogans such as "wink wink."...
Researchers such as Penny Nicholls of The Children's Society, a British charity, say their studies show that commercial pressures toward premature sexualization and unprincipled advertising damage children's well-being...
"By over-emphasizing their sexuality through fashion, it may make it harder for girls to value themselves for other aspects of their identity," the report by psychologist Linda Papadopoulos said.

Americans and Brits have a strange sense of "protecting" our kids. The retailer had said that the padding protected the "modesty" of young girls. Whereas, most adults with common sense realized they wanted to sexualize young girls at a young age into the fashion industry.
Let kids be kids, they will have plenty of time to grow up. And if you go to Europe especially to France, Spain, and Germany you will realize that most kids enjoy wearing one special kind of bathing suit. It's called a birthday suit.
It's always in style.
And that's a major fear of the fashion industry as they can't sell bathing suits to people who like wearing their birthday suit.

Northwestern University online student magazine recommends suiting up in your birthday suit

Contrary to what the press reports, we find more and more young people trying nude recreation and LOVING it.
Now, we have always been unique. Being a vacation resort, we have always had guests from their 20's to 70's stay at our clothing optional resort just like any other hotel like a Hilton or Marriott.
We encourage people of all ages to try a nice nude vacation. You will love it too. We are happy to see a Northwestern online magazine recommending nude recreation.
Here's the story from Northwestern Universities independent student magazine, North by Northwestern.
"Birthday) suit up!
By Ali Bruzek
It’s almost time for finals. Feeling like your brain has taken a hit? Maybe you should shed a few layers. Hank Hyena’s article, Get Naked: It’s Good For Your Brain, has created controversy on whether being naked really can do a body, and mind, good. Currently there are no studies linking brain benefits and nudity, but there have been some associations to a healthier life.
When asked, some students had no qualms about studying nude. “I wrote a whole essay butt naked on my boyfriend’s bed while he was at practice,” says Weinberg Junior Liza Engstrom...
So whether you’re baring it all or just a bit, here are some novel nudity tips:
Strip Away Stress
A study published in the Journal of Psychology in 1984 found that social nudists had a more positive body self-concept than those who were nonnudists...
“People talk about how it’s relaxing, de-stressing… and obviously there are benefits to more sunlight and vitamin D, of course,”...
“When you shed your clothes, you shed all of the stress in your daily life,” says Carolyn Hawkins, Public Relations Coordinator for the AANR.
Exposing Reposing
Sure, your footy pajamas are cute, but your skin could really use some time to breathe. The evidence is anecdotal, but most people sleep better naked because they feel more comfortable and as a result, have a more restful sleep...
In Nude Company
There are 275 nudist resorts across the country — including in the Chicagoland area. “The misconception in a lot of places is that you have to drop your clothes at the door before you come in the gate — that’s not the case at all,” says Mr. Williams. “You can ease your way in.”
And the general consensus? “Within 5 minutes of getting undressed, it feels like most natural thing in the world.”...
...at the very least, you’ll save yourself a couple of bucks next laundry day."

Northwestern is a great University. It's a Big Ten university.
Of course the University of Illinois is even greater. Why you ask? That's where Mary Clare and I met our freshman year. And of course that's where Marc Andreessen went to school. He is the designer of the Mosaic and the Netscape browser. Without browsers, the internet pretty much was for academics and government people. He really revolutionized access to the net by everyone.
Actually, Mary Clare and I both have a connection to Northwestern. Mary Clare is from Evanston where Northwestern is located. She worked at the Northwestern Co-op bookstore. She used to see Bill Murray there all the time as he was going to Northwestern and would stop in as it was a hang out back then for students.
I took maybe 3-5 business classes at Northwestern after I graduated from U of I before I went to De Paul to work on a masters.
Northwestern should be proud of their connection to nude recreation. The University of Illinois is as they profiled Mary Clare and I in their Jan/Feb issue 2003 of the Illinois alumni magazine as one of the famous graduates from the University. Considering they have 50,000 students and only 6-10 graduates a year are profiled, that is a very big honor.
The Univ of Illinois obviously is proud that we were graduates.

Happy World Nude Gardening Day

Today, May 2nd is the 5th anniversary of World nude gardening day started in England. I can't think of a better set of work clothes for gardening than your birthday suit (unless you are working around thorny plants).
Here's the story:
World Nude Gardening Day May 2
...Why garden naked? First of all, it's fun! Second only to swimming, gardening is at the top of the list of family-friendly activities people are most ready to consider doing nude. Moreover, our culture needs to move toward a healthy sense of both body acceptance and our relation to the natural environment. Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us--even if only for those few sunkissed minutes--that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet.
"The body seems to feel beauty when exposed to it as it feels the campfire or sunshine, entering not by the eyes alone, but equally through all one's flesh like radiant heat, making a passionate ecstatic pleasure glow not explainable."
- John Muir, founder of The Sierra Club
So what should you do? First of all, on May 2, 2008 find an opportunity to get naked and do some gardening... Just get naked and make your part of the botanical world a healthier and more attractive place.
Secondly, tell someone about your experience. No one owns this event, so it does not really matter whom you tell, but tell someone . Tell your friends about your day of naked gardening; write down what you thought of it and email it to your local newspaper; post your thoughts and images onto an Internet site; submit stories and photos to your club newsletter.
Thirdly, make naturism a part of your life. Once you experience the freedom of gardening nude, try skinnydipping. The naturist lifestyle is one that brings one closer to the environment, reduces stress and tension and can be an important part of a healthy lifestyle."

This article is so correct. Doing activities in the nude is just a great, fun experience. Everyone should try it.
The singer Shakira says her favorite thing to do when she gets home is take of her clothes and go naked gardening. She says it is the best way that she relaxes.
In these stressful times, vacation without your clothes is the perfect way to relax and de-stress. And our resort, the Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa is the perfect place to vacation at. We are the most mainstream clothing optional resort in the world and perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time.
