Save $25-50 on your vacation at Terra Cotta Inn this June.

Looking for a fun vacation this June? Tired of the same old boring chain hotel vacations? Want a great value?

Then you need to vacation at The Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional Resort in sunny Palm Springs, California. MSN picked us the best value nudist resort in the western US this November.

Palm Springs Life Magazine in their December, Best of the Best issue picked us as one of the 3 BEST of all small resorts in the whole Palm Springs area. We're the best because it is so relaxing and so much fun here.

And how can your vacation get any better? How about a $25-50 off coupon for your stay this June.

When you stay on Sunday - Thursday nights in June, you will get $25 off your bill when you stay 2 nights. You will get $50 off when you stay 4 nights.

This means if you stay Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat nights you get $25 off because you stayed 2 midweek days. If you stay Sun and Mon only, again $25 off, etc. If you stay, Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wed you get $50. To save $50, you need to stay 4 nights Sunday - Thursday nights in June.

And what's nice about Terra Cotta Inn is our great value even without this coupon. We serve complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks. Early check in at 10am and late check out at 5pm at no extra charge. We upgraded to a saline pool that feels wonderful on the skin. We don't have to use the harsh chemicals like typical pools. We also have a state of the art poolside cooling system, free wifi, free parking, no hidden resort or day fees, and much much more. We're such great value, our soda machine is only 50 cents a can.

Terra Cotta Inn is perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time. And of course experienced nudists and naturists love staying here too.

So for a fun June vacation at a great value, give us a call at 800-786-6938.

Terra Cotta Inn Discounted rooms for the Palm Springs Film Festival

As readers all know, our resort The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa is one of the best value hotels in ALL of the Palm Springs area. Nude sunbathers are lucky as they get to stay at such a great priced hotel.

And in January, we have our annual room sale on Sunday - Thursdays of stay one night, the 2nd is half priced. So for instance, if you booked for a Monday and Tuesday your rate would be $223.50 or only $111.75/night including breakfast and afternoon snacks, early check in at 10am and late check out at 5pm.

Today the Los Angeles Times had a blog post about "special rates" for the Palm Springs Film Festival. All of the places they quoted were more expensive than our resort. One of the places has a "discount" rate of $295/night.

Not only are we more affordable, we are more luxurious than many of the recommended places. We have top of the line king sized beds, state of the art salt water system heated pool and jacuzzi, free wifi, pool side heaters, in room coffee, dvd players, and more.

It is so hard to convince the mainstream press that one of the BEST hotels and BEST VALUE hotels in Palm Springs also happens to be a clothing optional resort. Some of the press still think of nudist resorts as a nudist colony out in the woods. Well, we have nothing in common with the nudist colonies of olden days. We are better than most boutique hotels and resorts. We are also the most mainstream nudist resort in America and perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time.

Our local city magazine, Palm Springs Life Magazine knows all of the hotels in Palm Springs. They have been publishing for over 50 years. In their December 2009, Best of the Best issue, they selected 3 hotels as the TOP boutique hotels in town. We were one of the hotels that was selected (we were #2). It's too bad that the Los Angeles Times decided to exclude one of the best hotels in Palm Springs in their blog post just because we're clothing optional.

Sadly people will over pay staying at textile hotels where they would have had a much better time staying at our clothing optional resort. MSNBC in November had a TV segment called "5 reasons to bare it all on your next vacation." They told people clothing optional resorts were much better values than textile hotels and even named Terra Cotta Inn one of the 2 best deal nudist resorts in the US.

So this post is letting the media know that people can come to the Terra Cotta Inn go topless and nude sunbathing all day long and see some of the best movies at the Palm Springs film festival in the evening. And we are a lot better value than the places you are recommending.

Naturists and nudists need to support nudist resorts

Koreans support other Korean businesses. So do the Chinese, Poles, Mexicans, etc. Gays support other gay businesses. Almost all minorities and ethnic groups support their own ethnic businesses.

Sometimes I think the ONLY people who do not support their own businesses are nudists.

This year more than ever, I have had people come here for day use and stay at a textile hotel. Almost all of them are AANR or TNS members or belong to a club. They never even call us for our rates as they just assume we will be overpriced like the naked places in Mexico or the Caribbean and thus they overpay to stay at an inferior textile hotel instead of staying with us.

It happened again this weekend.

We had a couple who are members of Glen Eden which is a big nudist club about 70 miles away. They called Saturday for day use. We told them we had a room available that night and we were told no they got a great "deal" at a textile hotel, so they would only be coming by for day use.

When they got here, we learned they were staying at the Ace Hotel. It is one of the trendy hotels du jour. They have a PR agency, so they are generating a lot of press. They're advertising tiny rooms with double beds (not even queens, we have California king sized beds) for $99/night.

Sounds reasonable good until you get the other expenses and see your small room. When you get there, you have to pay a resort fee of $25/night, breakfast is about $35/couple/day, and day use at our resort is another $30/day. So the textile hotel "deal" cost $405 for 2 nights. Plus they couldn't check in until 4pm and had to leave by noon. Where we allow 10am check in and 5pm check out at no extra charge.

If they had stayed at our resort, in December before Christmas we have a special of stay 1 night, the 2nd is half priced. Our rates with tax would have been $282.65. No resort fee, no charge for breakfast, or wine and snacks in the afternoon or day use. Thus, they would have saved $122 over the weekend by supporting our resort a nudist resort instead of the textile hotel chain who doesn't care about them. And they could have been nude all weekend.

Yet, when I asked them why they didn't book us as we were considerably cheaper for a superior facility, they told us they never called us or any other nudist place in Palm Springs. They just assumed we were more expensive.

This isn't the first time this has happened to us this year where card carrying nudists booked textile hotels, never called for rates as they just assumed we were more expensive and thus overpaid.

Running a nudist resort is a very hard business. It is a labor of love as you will not get rich at it like you would owning textile hotels. You have to believe in nudism and nudists to own and operate a nudist resort. Am I frustrated, you bet.

Probably only 10% of our guests are members of AANR or TNS. The people who should be supporting nudist resorts are the ones that don't. Thus we had to create our customers. As we have been told many times, we have probably created more nudists in the US than any other resort or club. Even people who have never been to our resort have told us they finally went somewhere because of reading our blog, our tweets, talking to us many times on the phone, etc.

I have no answer on how to get nudists to support nudist businesses in the US. Do you?

This year I have worked harder than ever marketing online. Last year I work 60 hours a week. This year I average about 75 hours a week with the additional time being all online marketing. This year I have had 5-6 so called "true nudists" tell me that I promote my business too much online. They said if I didn't stop promoting it on twitter, facebook, here, etc they would not go to my resort because they are tired of seeing the name Terra Cotta Inn all the time online.

Now I wonder, did they e-mail Coke, or Budweiser Beer saying they promote their products too much and if they didn't stop advertising on TV, they would never drink another Coke or Bud again? Of course not. Yet, they tried to intimidate a small nudist business into not marketing online. And those people have never been to my resort! And I'm supposed to take marketing advice in the worst recession since the 1930's from them? Why won't many nudists support their own in the US.

Thus, I promote to first timers as I know once they book here they will become our repeat guests as we are a FANTASTIC VALUE. In November MSNBC picked us as one of the 3 best deal nudist hotels in the whole US.

So nudists, please call and talk with us before booking a textile hotel in town and overpaying for your vacation. And call and talk with other nudist places before you vacation somewhere else. And stop going to all the naked places in the Caribbean and Mexico. Most are NOT owned by nudists. That's why they gouge you. Nice places like Cypress Cove in Florida and us in the US are fantastic values as MSNBC said.

And first timers, you're lucky as you get to stay in one of the best small resorts in all Palm Springs. This December in Palm Springs Life Magazine, the Best of the Best issue, we were selected as one of the top 3 boutique hotels in ALL the Palm Springs area, pretty cool for nude sunbathers.

Looking for a bargain vacation? - Look no further than The Terra Cotta Inn

The Terra Cotta Inn has always been the best value nudist resort vacation in the US.

We have always offered so much value which is why for years, we have had one of the highest occupancy rates of ALL hotels in Palm Springs.

Our rates start at $149/couple/night. We include a great complimentary breakfast (we are one of the few nudist resorts in the US that does so) and delicious afternoon snacks. For instance our breakfast is famous among nudists. All of our fruit is restaurant grade which means it is ripe and of very high quality compared to fruit you buy at the grocery store. Of course we pay about twice the price for restaurant grade food compared to grocery store fruit, but our guests are worth it.

We have complimentary pick up and drop off at the Palm Springs airport.

We allow guests to bring their own alcohol to our resort. When we pick you up at the airport, we are happy to stop at a local grocery story for food and alcoholic beverages. This saves our guests a lot of money as they don't have to give us $5 for a beer, or $10 for a glass of wine or cocktail like at other hotels.

If a guest wants to save even more money, we have a BBQ area. Everyday of the week, we have couples who BBQ together. As our guests say, we are the only nudist resort in the west that is busy everyday of the week. And our guests do make friends.

Every room has a refrigerator and microwave oven. We also have rooms with full kitchenettes. So if you don't want to go out for dinners, you can save even more money.

Our beds are top of the line Sealy plush top beds. Most guests tell us they have never had a better nights sleep than here.

We have free wifi.

We use a local restaurant to cater lunches so you can relax poolside if you don't want to prepare your own lunch. And their prices are very reasonable and the food is very good.

Our heated pool (86F) and jacuzzi are salt water systems which are super gentle on the skin. We don't have to use harsh chemicals like other hotels do. Even pools that say they have "natural" water have to use harsh chlorine unless they invest in a salt water pool like us. Last year the MGM hotel in Las Vegas sent our a press release bragging that their premium pool was salt water and that they were the very first hotel on the Las Vegas strip to have made that major investment. We have had our salt water pool for over 3 years. We think that highly of our guests.

We have a state of the art high pressure misting/cooling system for the summer, and poolside heaters for the evenings so you can stay naked and warm outside in the winter time nights. NO ONE else in Palm Springs has invested in high pressure cooling systems and poolside heaters. And we just made a major investment last year in upgrading our cooling system so it is now on a stainless steel line. We are the only hotel that has done that upgrade.

All rooms have free in room coffee (Godiva coffee). In our lobby we serve a free Starbucks blend. All rooms have VCR/DVD players. we have a free complimentary library. All rooms have iPod docks.

It is no wonder that for about the last 11 years in a row, we have had the 2nd highest occupancy rate of ALL hotels in Palm Springs (the Indian Casino hotel beats us).

As you can see, we are the best value nudist resort in the whole US.

One of the reasons I mention this is we don't have phony "rack rates" where we say our rates are on sale 50% off like many hotels do.

We have always had a very honest rate which is why we have one of the highest repeat guest rates in the whole travel industry. Don't be misled by phony "sales."

If you have always wanted to try clothing optional vacations, now is the perfect time. We are considered the most mainstream nudist resort in America and perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time.

Give us a call at 800-786-6938 for more information or to make a reservation.

I was just at a hotel industry seminar. They pointed out this year more than ever, people need to vacation in the United States. About 1.9 million people work in the hotel industry. That is one area that is American and where you can help the US economy. Every time you vacation in Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, or else where overseas this year you are hurting instead of helping the US economy by sending dollars overseas. If you really want to buy American and help the US, vacation only in the US in 2009. (IMO, the only exception is vacationing in Canada. The US and Canada are probably the 2 friendliest countries sharing a common border).

Hope to see you soon in sunny Palm Springs
