Nudist Travel is Big Business

Vacationing at nudist resorts is more popular than ever. For instance, Terra Cotta Inn is the most popular nudist resort and one of the most popular of ALL resorts in the whole Palm Springs area. In December 2010, Palm Springs Life Magazine in their annual Best of the Best issue picked us as the BEST small resort in the whole Palm Springs area. It's pretty cool that nudists get to stay at the Best.

But, having been open 16 years, we know being the Best is relative as people have different ideas as to what is the best. For instance, if you are a snob or pretentious, you will not enjoy yourself here. Our guests are very friendly and fun, not stuck up. So we would recommend other places for snobs were they would be happy feeling superior.

There are nudists who don't like other people around. They only like to go to nude places where no one would see them. If you want no one around, then tell us. We are happy to recommend places that have low occupancy rates.

This weekend, we had a couple come by for day use. They had thick eastern European accents, but lived in Orange county, Southern California.

We always ask people where they have been and we always then compare and contrast ourselves so that they know are going to the best place for them. Of course, we know most other places don't care enough to screen people like that as we always have guests tell us they wasted a vacation at some other naked place as they thought it would be a nice place like Terra Cotta Inn and they weren't told they were very different.

Anyway, I talked to this eastern European couple and it was hard understanding them. They had been to another place in town before. When they got here, the woman was disappointed that we did not have single men around as she told me enjoyed "playing with all the guys." I didn't question her as to what playing was, but told her to go to that other place as she would be happier there. If it wasn't for the communications barrier, I would have told her not to book here as we weren't what she was looking for when she first called.

Being the Best, we care about our guests and people who might take a vacation with us. We want to make sure they are staying at the correct place for them. Many hotels have a "head in bed" attitude as they don't care if you ever come back. They want your money now. We don't. We want the long term relationship which is one of the reasons why we have one of the highest repeat guest rates in the whole travel industry at just over 80%.

Because of our reputation of being the best in town, we care about you. We care enough that we will even refer you to another place if it is right for what you are looking for.

Click here to see the story Nude travel is big business

In my opinion nude resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean are teh biggest offenders that only care about your money. Most are owned and operated by non nudists and are only interested in "heads in beds."

So ALWAYS ask questions of resorts before booking so that you will know the type of place you are booking. An easy question to ask is if the owners work nude, (Mary Clare and I work nude). If the owners are nudists, you know the guests will be too. If the owners stay dressed a lot, you know the guests will too as guests always follow the tone set by the owners and it may not be right for you.

Now is the perfect time for a fun, romantic, sunny, unique vacation experience. One that you will want to repeat over and over.

Never been to a clothing optional resort before? No problem. We are the most mainstream nudist resort in the US and are perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time!

Last November, MSNBC picked us as the Best value nude sunbathing resort in the western US.

Today is National Margarita Day - Are you drinking yours naked?

Today is the namesake day for all Parrot heads, fans of Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville" song. And nudists all know, what's the best way to drink an iced cold margarita? Naked of course!!!

The Food Channel has some fun facts about margarita's. Here they are:

1)Named after a lady named Margarita. The original Margarita was invented in 1948 by socialite Margarita Sames. According to the legend it was during a party at her cliffside hacienda in Acapulco that Margarita began experimenting with ‘the drink’...

2)Tops in 2008. The Margarita was the most popularly ordered drink in 2008, representing 18 percent of all mixed drink sales in the U.S.,

3)...On average, Americans consume 185,000 Margaritas per hour (Brown-Forman, 2008)...

4)Vanilla, Chocolate, or Margarita? The first frozen margarita machine was invented in 1971 and it was based off a soft-serve ice cream machine

5)We’re Number One! The U.S. is the number one tequila market – larger and more important than Mexico

For the full food channel story, Click here: Click here

And sadly, the Food Channel left off the BEST way to drink a margarita, naked at your favorite nudist resort or nude beach, while relaxing in the sun.

Enjoy your day!!!

Sorobon Nudist resort in Bonaire will no long be nudist

The world wide recession has effected nudist resorts as well as textile hotels. Sorobon is the latest nudist resort that is converting over to being a textile hotel.
I've always heard good things about how it was run, so we are sad to hear it will no longer be nudist. It was one of the few nudist resorts in the Caribbean that did not gouge nudists by being ridiculously overpriced. We always recommended it.

From their site:

"Sorobon Beach Resort has always been a naturist resort. As of December 15th 2010 this will no longer be the case. We will open our doors to the general public and nudism will no longer be allowed.

I think part of the reason they are going textile is I have found American and Canadian nudists are vacationing more and more ONLY in our 2 countries. They are tired of sending their money to foreign countries where none of it benefits the US or Canada. Since the US and Canada are the world's largest trading partners, anything benefiting one country helps the other.

I know we have so many guests that booked a week with us in the summer or fall (it's tropical storm and hurricane season in the Caribbean, Florida, and Mexico in the summer and fall so nudists never go to those places anyway as why vacation in the rain). And then they booked a week in the Caribbean or Mexico in the spring. Now they are staying with us year round and skipping those overpriced places.

Prior to the recession, people would brag about how much they overpaid to vacation in Mexico and the Caribbean at non nudist owned naked resorts. Not any more. Good value is the new luxury.

And luckily for nudists, The Terra Cotta Inn has ALWAYS been considered one of the best value nudist resort vacation in the world. MSNBC in November picked us as one of the best values in the US. That's one of the many reasons we are the most popular nude sunbathing resort in the western US.

Just 2 rooms left at Terra Cotta Inn this weekend October 1 and 2

Due to a last minute cancellation. We have 1 room available this weekend on Friday and Sat nights, Oct 1 & 2 and one room available for just Saturday night Oct 2.

In October, we rarely just have weekends available as it prime vacation season. Nudists don't go to the Caribbean, Mexico, or Florida in October and November since it's the height of tropical storm/hurricane season unless they like rain. Which means everyone from around the world wants to stay here and take a vacation.

For instance we are 100% full tonight on a Tuesday Sept 28th.

So, this is your lucky weekend.

The weather has been fantastic. About 100F and nice and sunny.

Give us a call at 800-786-6938 if you want a fun time here this weekend in sunny Palm Springs!

We also have rooms available midweek on Sunday thru Thurs in October, so think about getting away midweek too.

Suite 101 website suggests a vacation at The Terra Cotta Inn as an alternative to Mexico and or Florida

The online magazine Suite101.com is extremely popular. Alexa ranks it the 302 most popular website in the US.

Yesterday, they published an article giving suggestions for alternative, fun vacations this springtime. They wrote instead of the same old boring Florida or Mexico vacations you should come to sunny palm Springs, California. .

I have been saying this for years. Florida and Mexico are way overrated. Florida is the rainiest state in the nation and is colder than Palm Springs in the winter and spring.. And who wants to overpay for some mediocre, overpriced vacation in Mexico? Certainly not you.

Here is what Suite101.com wrote:

"Alternative Spring Break Ideas
Guide to a Bold and Different Spring Break Trip

Feb 17, 2010
Looking for something different than the stereotypical Florida beach or Mexican resort experience this spring break? Consider a ... fun alternative...

For some, visiting a sun-kissed domestic resort with a few friends, relaxing by the pool, indulging in massages and facials and touring some of the local shops and attractions might be just the ticket... One idea that fits the bill is a trip to Palms Spring, California.

An outdoor playground surrounded by breathtaking mountains and canyons awaits those who choose Palm Springs for spring break fun. Palm Springs is a desert city in Riverside County, California, located approximately 111 miles east of Los Angeles and 136 miles northeast of San Diego.

Located on Interstate 10, within the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs is sheltered on all sides by mountains and as a result Palm Springs enjoys a warm, dry climate, with an average of 354 days of sunshine...

Resorts Offering Unique Spring Break Fun

Palm Springs abounds with accommodation choices from boutique-type hotels to full-service resorts...

Terra Cotta Inn is a smaller, boutique-style resort, named in the “Best of the Best” December 2009 issue of Palm Springs Life Magazine, one of the top three boutique hotels in all of Palm Springs. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with the expected amenities. The Terra Cotta Inn spa staff offers luxurious spa services in the privacy of guest’s own rooms or outdoors in the property’s mist cooled gazebo. While there is no on-site restaurant, the inn does provide breakfasts and afternoon refreshments with hors d’oeuvres daily for guests. [Tom's note, we use a local restaurant to cater lunches everyday and 10 different restaurants deliver dinner. We also have a BBQ area for the guests. We are the ONLY nude sunbathing resort in the Palm Springs area where you can check in and don't have to leave for all meals unless you want to. We are also the only one that is busy 7 days a week instead of just weekends.]

...Palm Springs Spring Break Trip Activities

Besides the chance to get a perfect tan without those pesky tan lines, Palm Springs offers lots of other activities guaranteed to produce memorable spring break vacations. For outdoor enthusiasts the area offers:

* Miles of hiking trails to explore
* A 1,200-acre wildlife and botanical park, “The Living Desert”
* The chance to ride on the world’s largest rotating tramcar

For those seeking to explore in a more urban setting, downtown Palm Springs does not disappoint.

* Bountiful shopping opportunities among the modern boutiques and antique galleries found along the palm-lined avenues
* Fine dining establishments and charming cafes
* The downtown Spa Resort Casino
* Live drama, comedy and music for theater fans
* World-class art collection and sculpture garden of the Palm Springs Art Museum

Those seeking a bolder, enjoyable alternative spring break experience need look no further than beautiful, sunny Palm Springs. An affordable getaway destination that offers endless activities for spring break fun paired with relaxation at its finest."

Lonely Planet Travel Guide picks Terra Cotta Inn as one of the top 10 clothing optional resorts of the world

Here at The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa in sunny Palm Springs, California we have been getting a lot of good press lately.

I just learned that Lonely Planet Travel Guide company, (one of the biggest in
the world) picked Terra Cotta Inn as one of the top 10 clothing optional resorts
of the world.

Lonely Planet is owned by the BBC and is based in Australia. They have "a
commitment to independent travel, trustworthy advice and editorial
independence." They also have the reputation of seeking out great vacation
values as they were started by backpackers.

Anyone can say Ritz Carltons are the best, but who these days can afford them?
As the saying goes, "Value is the new luxury."

I have always said that Terra Cotta Inn is the ONLY nudist resort in the US that is affordable luxury and it is nice to see that Lonely Planet agrees with me. Plus we don't charge daily day use fees like most nudist resorts in the US.

Lonely Planet picked only two nudist resorts in the US, Cypress Cove and us. This is consistent as Cypress Cove is a very nice place and we are the ONLY nudist resort that caters to couples on vacation in the western US.

People always ask our opinions about other nudist places. It's nice for me now to
show non biased reviews of the clothing optional industry. And the assessments are very accurate.

I agree with the assessments although I really would not have included Hedonism with nudist resorts. But then they did warn people that it can get wicked and wild.

Here's their list:

"Top 10 clothing optional resorts of the world

Grand Lido Braco, Jamaica
A nice resort for couples. There are nude and prude sides. Grand Lido And Terra Cotta are 2 best places for 1st time nude sunbathing. June to the end of November is hurricane season. Very, very expensive.

Hedonism II, Jamaica
Be as wild and wicked as you want. Hedo is unique in the world. Not for the shy. A fun drinking and partying atmosphere if that is what you want. For singles and couples. By Negril. June to Nov is hurricane season.

Terra Cotta Inn, Palm Springs, CA
The #1 choice is Terra Cotta Inn. If you want to relax, be pampered, have fun, year round sunshine, they are the best. A 17 room inn just for couples. The perfect place to try nude sunbathing for the first time. Affordable luxury.

Costa Natura Spain
A beautiful location in the South of Spain. Perfect for families. Affordable.

Club Orient, St Martin
Located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. St. Martin is French speaking. Families and couples from around the world stay here. Be warned June to end of November is hurricane season. Very Expensive.

Cap D'agde, France

Sorobon Beach Resort, Bonnaire

Cypress Cove, Florida

Euronat, France

Hidden Beach, Mexico

And another nudist resort bites the Dust - Just say NO to vacationing at Non Nudist owned places in the Mexico and the Caribbean!

I just wrote that Glen Echo in Ontario, Canada will be closed to nudists as of
Oct 1st due to not finding nudists to buy it.

Last week Paradise Lakes in Tampa, Florida pulled out of AANR, the American Association for nude recreation instead of being suspended. Why? Because they are hosting s racy g-string review hosted by a Penthouse model. They said nudists no longer support them enough.

What's happening to nudism in America and Canada? I have heard from some nudist resort owners that this is one of the worst years they have ever had. They all say, where have nudists gone? (Luckily for us, this will be our 2nd or 3rd best year ever in our 15 years of business. But, I have worked harder than ever marketing our resort). For instance this July was our SECOND best July ever in our 15 years of business.

It seems 2 things are working out here.

First, many nude vacationers in the US and Canada still don't support American and Canadian nudism. Every time you go to Mexico, or Jamaica, or some other Caribbean island and spend a vacation at a non nudist owned resort, that is taking away money that could be reinvested in American and Canadian nudism.

Those big impersonal corporations that overcharge nudists for rooms on "nude sides" instead of prude sides, don't care about nudists. You are just a big stupid dollar sign to them. If they cared, they would charge textiles and nudists the same.

We reinvest about 15% of every dollar we receive from guests. That is one of the highest reinvestment amount percentages of ANY hotel in the US. To us, we want to deliver to nudists the BEST VALUE of any hotel. And we succeed since we are so popular.

Yet, do I want more guests? I sure do! We will probably be around a 78-80% occupancy rate this year, a rate that most hotels in the US would love to have. Yet, we should be close to 100% occupancy. And if Americans and Canadians start supporting nudism more, hopefully we will.

Even some of our repeat guests are not supporting us as much. Last weekend, we had a guest tell us they stayed at a textile resort over in a town by us called Rancho Mirage. They got a "great deal" for a hotel room. They said they got it half off. Rack rate was $259 and they got it for $129. Then they admitted they paid $22/night parking (we're free), a resort fee of $20 something (they forgot the exact amount), $12.95 for wifi (we're free). And they had to pay for breakfast (we're free). And they didn't get free afternoon snacks. Their "bargain" cost way more than our
$169/night. Their $129/night ended up costing around $215/night compared to our bargain of $169.

The guest stayed there for 3 nights. I said to them, "you know, we can use the money much more than that place can. They don't have a salt water pool, they don't have poolside misters and heaters, they don't have free wifi. You should be supporting nudist businesses in this economy instead of big corporations." The response was "oh, I never thought of that."

Nudists need to think. They need to support American and Canadian nudist resorts.

Stop going to non nudist owned places in the Caribbean Mexico. Let the citizens in those countries support their own naked places. Americans and Canadians have been supporting them for way to long to the detriment of nudism at home.

Now if you want to vacation at one of the best clothing optional resorts in the world according to tripadvisor.com and AOL.com, then give us The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa a call at 800-786-6938.

United Airlines has First Class airfare sale ending July 31st.

In today's economy, nudists are no longer going to Mexico or the Caribbean. We have found most nudists are supporting the nudist resorts in the US and Canada by only vacationing here this year. We have had many new first time guests tell us they were tired of dropping $5000-$8000 to go on a nude vacation in the Caribbean or Mexico.

Worse, most of the nude places in Mexico and The Caribbean are owned by non nudists and they way over charge nudists for their rooms compared to the same quality rooms for textiles. We are happy that they are finally realizing American nudism is a much better value.

We just got a booking from a guest coming from Chicago here in 2 weeks who said check out United Airlines site. They have a great airfare sale to Palm Springs with first class seats. They used to go to Cancun, Mexico this time (their rates are lower because their summer weather is so rainy of year). They just learned about us and are so happy to have a much better nudist destination here in the US. They told us even flying first class it is cheaper than flying coach to the Mexico and Palm Springs is much quicker to get to. And much safer. And they don't ahve to worry about rain. So thank you for supporting American nudist resorts!

British citizens advised not to travel to Mexico for Health and Safety reasons

The BBC reported that England has issued a travel advisory against going to Mexico except for essential travel only for safety and health reasons. British travel firms are all cancelling their flights to Mexico, especially Cancun. Here is the story:

"Travel firms cancel Mexico trips

Several UK holiday operators have cancelled their flights to Mexico due to the outbreak of the swine flu virus that has claimed 152 lives.

Thomson and First Choice, both owned by TUI Travel, said they has cancelled planned flights to Cancun from Manchester and Gatwick airports.

They said they planned to start flying customers in Mexico back to the UK.

Rival Thomas Cook also said it has cancelled all flights to Cancun for the next seven days.

'Health and safety'

Thomas Cook, Thomson and First Choice said their decision followed the UK Foreign Office's decision to advise only essential travel to Mexico...

Travel insurance providers are likely to pay out if a holiday is cancelled after the official advice has been not to go to affected countries...

This year I have been suggesting that Americans you should vacation in the US. Every dollar that you spend on airlines, hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions goes directly back into the US economy.

And I have been suggesting that American and Canadian nudists should support American and Canadian nudist resorts this year by vacationing at them instead of in Mexico or the Caribbean where non nudists run overpriced resorts charging nudists more for rooms compared to non nudists.

I have heard people say they have a hard time finding American goods to buy. Well vacationing in America is 100% AMERICAN!

We have had lots of guests this year book our resort for the first time as now they are looking for value on their vacations. They were tired of overpaying for a Caribbean or Mexican vacation. In a recession, value is king.

And our resort, The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa is considered the best value nudist resort in the US.

And now with Mexico especially Cancun so dangerous to travel to because both of both swine flue and the Mexican drug cartels, it makes even more sense to vacation in the good ole USA. And on top of this, hurricane season starts June first in Mexico, Florida, and the Caribbean, so you will want to vacation where there is good weather instead of risking a tropical storm raining our your vacation.

Palm Springs, California is the perfect alternative to Mexico and the Caribbean. We are the sunniest city in the US averaging less than 3 inches of rain a year.

And our resort, The Terra Cotta Inn is the perfect place as both AOL.com and tripadvisor.com have picked them as one of the 10 best clothing optional resorts in the world.

Americans need to vacation only in the US this year

Here's something everyone can do to help the US economy this year. Vacation only in the US. The job you save maybe your own.

Right now the US is in the worst recession since the great depression. Lots of people are losing their jobs. Yet, millions of Americans are taking vacations in Mexico and the Caribbean. That is taking jobs away from Americans, don't they see that?

According to Wikipedia

"In the US, tourism is either the first, second or third largest employer in 29 states, employing 7.3 million in 2004, to take care of 1.19 billion trips tourists took in the US in." click here for quote

Every time I hear someone brag about going to the Caribbean or Mexico, I think how unpatriotic. If you want an island feel, go to Hawaii. If you want people to speak English with a Spanish accent then come here to California, or go to Texas, or Florida.

Nudists especially ask me all the time "Tom, why aren't there more places like Terra Cotta Inn in the US." I tell them the truth, American nudists in general do not support the American nudist industry.

For instance, Caliente in Florida said one of the major reason they switched to marketing to swingers was they did not get enough bookings from nudists.

I will never understand why nudists go to the overpriced places in the Caribbean and Mexico, especially since most of them are not even owned my nudists.

Now some people are slowly changing their mindset this year. People are waking up to the fact they have been overpaying for years to go to nude places in Mexico and the Caribbean. For instance we just had a couple here for 3 weeks that used to go to St Martin in the spring. They said for the cost of 1 week in St. Martin they could spend 3 weeks at our resort and still go home with thousands of dollars. We have had a lot of guests cancel Club Orient and Hidden beach this year to save money as our resort is considered the best value nudist resort in this hemisphere.

Nudists, cancel your vacations to the Caribbean or Mexico and only vacation at American nudist resorts this year. Also get an AANR membership and support that great organization.

Non nudists, if you are complaining about the US economy and are vacationing outside of the US this year, shame on you.

Vacationing in the US is one way to help boost the American economy and help people save their jobs.

No one should be going to Mexico or the Caribbean this year.

Support American workers, vacation only in the US in 2009!

A Palm Springs nudist resorts occupancy rate is UP in this economy

This is a tough economic climate to be in the hotel business. Sadly so many people have lost money in the stock market or lost their jobs and can't afford to vacations this year.

Now a days, people won't travel anymore just so they can brag to their friends that they vacationed for instance at some overpriced resort in the Caribbean or Mexico like people did a few years ago when the market was up. People now have to really WANT to vacation at resorts. And they want value!

This means most people now vacation only in the US for value. And nudists especially no longer go to the Caribbean or Mexico and stay at the overpriced nude resorts there owned by non nudists. Nudists now all want to stay at our resort, The Terra Cotta Inn in sunny Palm Springs, CA.

We have found that instead of our occupancy rate going down like other nudist resorts and Palm Springs hotels, it has gone up in 2008.

Last year at our resort, The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort and spa, we were up 5.85% in sales. We were told that we were the ONLY established hotel in Palm Springs that had increased sales in 2008.

Now, we have always been the most popular nudist vacation resort in the western US. And have had the 2nd highest occupancy rate of ALL hotels in town (only the Indian casino hotel beat us). I don't write that to brag (although we are very proud of that fact), but most people vacationing at nudist resorts are social and they like to chat with other people. So they need to make sure that potential guests don't make a mistake and book midweek or a week at a time at a nude weekend getaway instead of our resort.

We are the ONLY nudist resort in the western US that is busy 7 days a week, year round instead of just weekends like typical nude places out west.

Sadly here in Palm Springs, hotel occupancy and sales are down. Here is the story from our local newspaper, the Desert Sun.

"Palm Springs hotel taxes down 18 percent

The city of Palm Springs' hotel taxes were down 18 percent in January, according to a monthly analysis provided by the city...

In December, hotel taxes were down 20 percent and in November, they were down nearly 18 percent."

For the full story click here

So if you are coming to Palm Springs midweek or for a week or longer, we are the perfect clothing optional resort for you to go nude sunbathing at. If you are coming for just a Saturday night because you don't have any vacation days left at work, then there are other weekend nude places for you to stay at and we will be happy to make referral.

Next year when you have more vacation time off of work, and want a fun vacation, we are the perfect resort for you.

Give us a call at 800-786-6938 to make reservations or for availability.

we hope to meet you in sunny Palm Springs!

Big Airfare sale for Americans, Canadians, and Brits

Today we are 85F and not a cloud in the sky. The best topless or nude sunbathing weather in the US.

There are major airfare sales right now for this January, February
and March to Palm Springs (PSP), Ontario (ONT) and LAX.

http://westjet.com and http://www.aircanada.com/en/home.html have 40%
off sales right now. Westjet's sale ends on 1/14 at midnight and Air
Canada's ends at 1/15 at midnight.

http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_gb British
Airways has a major sale. You need to book by January 27th.

http://www.alaskaair.com has a big sale. You need to buy tickets by
January 24th

American, United, and Southwest also have sales.

Well it seems like everyone has been listening to me. They are tired
of spending $5000-$7500 going nude for a week in Mexico and/or the
Caribbean. We have had more advanced booking than ever in March,
April and May. If you are thinking about a vacation in those months
you need to book soon. People are supporting the American nudist
industry this year and are booking their nude vacations here in the
good old USA. Thank you everyone for your advanced bookings.

Now we still have rooms available in January. For instance last week
stupid weather.com was predicting we would be a high of 72F and we

A good resolution for 2009 - Vacation at an American nudist resort only this year

Here is the perfect nude year's resolution for 2009. Vacation only at an American nudist resort this year. Or join a nudist club or AANR.

We always hear from guests "why aren't there more nudist resorts in the US?" They then proceed to tell us how they just got back from spending $5000-$7500 going nude at a place in Mexico or the Caribbean owned by some big corporation and operated by non nudists. Some of these places are so overpriced they charge nudists an extra
$100/night for the "rights" to be on the nude side. And nudists happily pay this surcharge.

The reason there aren't more nude places in the US is American nudists don't support nudist clubs and nudist resorts enough.

Look at Caliente in Florida. They said they had low occupancy and were forced to go swinger because nudists didn't support them.

We are lucky. We have always been considered the best value nudist resort in the US and the only one in the western US that caters to vacationers, so we are doing OK. However, in talking with other owners of nudist resorts and clubs, many are really hurting financially.

So this year, instead of vacationing in Mexico or the Caribbean, vacation at an American nudist resort owned by real nudists who work their butts off to make sure you have a fun, fantastic vacation.

Support the American nudist industry. Don't spend your dollars lining the pockets of nun nudists.

Desire Resort in Los Cabos no longer clothing optional

I just learned today that Desire in Los Cabos in February will no longer be a nudist resort. (Or even a lifestyles resort which is what they also catered too lately). It is now going to just be a topless joint.

It is a tough market out there for nudist resorts. Although we will be up round 3% this year, most nudist resort owners I have talked with are down on occupancy this year. Some significantly.

The reason I think we are up on occupancy while most other places are down is we are one of the few nudist resorts in the US that caters to vacationers. Our guests come from around the world. Although they are mainly English speaking from the US, Canada, England, and Australia. Most American nudist resorts especially here in California are mainly just weekend getaways for locals instead of true vacation resorts that are busy all the time like us.

Our guests are deciding whether to go to Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Tahiti, our resort Terra Cotta Inn, etc. for their vacations. So when the economy goes bad, they stop going overseas and vacation American with us as we are the BEST VALUE nudist vacation resort in the world. Also we have been nudists for over 30 years and most nudist resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico are owned by non nudist corporations.

In talking to guests I have found that they are tired of going to the Caribbean and Mexico and staying at clothing optional resorts that are owned by non nudists and paying sky high rates for vacations. They all know they are being ripped off on their vacations as their rooms are normally $100 or more per night compared to rooms on prude sides or textile hotels.

As one guest said who no longer goes to the Caribbean, "the travel agent commission alone that is charged would pay for a week at The Terra Cotta Inn."

We have a toll free number 1-800-786-6938. You book directly with us and save on travel agents commissions which mean you get more value for you vacation dollar at Terra Cotta Inn.

Los Cabos is going to become a Temptations Resort. Here is a post I found about this chain owned by non nudists. CLICK HERE

Lots of single men in their twenties so the review says. That's interesting.

Now if you want to book at one of the 10 best clothing optional resorts in the world, give us a call at 800-786-6938. Visit our site at http://sunnyfun.com

I hope to see you in sunny Palm Springs this year.

And remember to help the American nudist community. Vacation only at US clothing optional and nudist resorts this year.
